The Passenger Ship City of Richmond brought Bertel and Lars Poulsen to America.
and later, a passenger list page that had Bertel and his brother Lars on it:

Niels was 19 years old when he arrived in America in 1872 on the Minnesota.
Lars was 17 years old when he arrived in America seven years later (1879) on
the City of Richmond traveling with his older brother Bertel who was 19 years
old. Both the Minnesota and the City of Richmond look to be ships powered by
both steam and sail.
