The following photograph is from June Poulsen (Stanley). On the back of it she
wrote:
Pysht cabin where my mother and her brothers and sisters were born and
lived. There were seven children in all. June Stanley Poulsen
Pontine Cabin, Pysht, WA.
The person in the picture is thought to be Margaret Pontine (Stange).
George Fernandez’ Pysht Valley Story
George Fernandez (he changed the spelling of his last name from “s” to “z”) was
the son of Antone and Gertrude Fernandes. In 1997 he wrote a book called
