“Mystery Book” - 2020 Update:

Laura and I were sitting at home one day during the pandemic and we found

ourselves (again) talking about the “Mike Schmidt Mystery Book”. Laura had
been looking it over and she had solved a part of the “mystery”. She noted that
there was a name on the back of the only photograph in the book – the name
Marion J. Dimmock. She suggested that the initials on the HOME drawing were
not “NJP” as I first thought, but rather “MJD” for Marion J. Dimmock and she
was right! She then searched the internet for Dimmock and … OMG … he was a

very famous architect that lived in Virginia around the same time as the dates
from the book! For sure … the pencil drawing “HOME” is definitely architect-
quality.
