More Wisconsin Pioneers and Immigrants
As it turns out … there are pioneer ancestors with early roots in the State of
Wisconsin from both sides of the family (Stephen – maternal and Laura –
paternal). Browsing the website: http://www.2manitowoc.com (Manitowoc is a
county of Wisconsin), I discovered a treasure of family genealogy information
including photographs! Amazing! Most of the material in this section is from
this website. Stephen
The man with the beard is Charles Ibe, Laura’s great-great grandfather. The woman to the right of him is Pauline
Ibe, Laura’s great-great grandmother. The young girl at the far right is Alma Ibe, Laura’s great grandmother.
Alma later married George Zorn (see pictures below). This is a mixed family in that it includes children from
Charles Ibe’s earlier marriage (as mentioned in his obituary).
