Departure, a friend
of the family. My
grandfather would
often take me with
him around town.
Whenever we would
run into Henry
Davies, he was
always happy to see
us … I never saw
him without a cigar.
Perhaps the
improvised
bookmark was used
in her book “The Old
Curiosity Shop” by
Charles Dickens.
She got that
book Nov 6,
1936
(although she
didn’t
officially read
it until 2011!),
from her
“Uncle”
Pete.(Not a true
uncle)
Apparently he
bought the
book in China!
