Pontine, Otto
OTTO PONTINE,
PYSHT VALLEY
PIONEER, DIES

Otto Pontine, 81, for 50 years a
resident of the Pysht valley, passed
away Saturday morning September
14, at Sedro Woolley, Washington
following a lingering illness.
Mr. Pontine was born in Sweden and
migrated to the United States when
21 years of age. He settled in the
Pysht valley with other early pioneers
of that region.
He is survived by three children; Mrs.
Elizabeth Stanley, Port Angeles; Miss
Beatrice Pontine, Port Angeles;
Arthur Pontine, Seattle.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday
afternoon at 2 o’clock, from the
chapel of the Dewey Lyden company.
Reverend William J. Howell, of the
First Presbyterian church will read
the services. Burial will be in Ocean
View cemetery.
