Obituaries
Wendling, Melvin F.
MELVIN F. WENDLING
Melvin Wendling, 62, died Thursday
evening at his home, 1027 6th St.
Kiel. He had been in poor health for
several months. He was born Jan. 8,
1899, in the Town of Meeme, a son
of the late Friedrich and Emma
Schnuelle Wendling.
He attended district grade schools,
and married Christine Schmidt of
New Holstein on July 10, 1926. The
couple made their home in Kiel,
where for 38 years Mr. Wendling was
employed by the Kiel Woodenware
Co.
Survivors include his wife; one
daughter, Mrs. Earl (Betty) Mattes of
Kiel; three grandchildren; two
brothers, Roland of Valders and
Oscar of Kiel; and two sisters, Mrs.
Oscar Jaschob and Miss Irmgard
Wendling, both of Kiel.
