Poulsen Brothers and Lunsford Sisters
They say a picture is worth a thousand words – but I say a picture can be worth
much more than that! Once, while researching online, I discovered evidence of
the existence of an old photograph in a Virginia library - a photograph of my
great-grandparents Niels and Mary Poulsen of Round Hill, VA. Since I had
never before seen a photograph of them, I immediately began to pursue it. I
started a correspondence with a librarian there. She scoured the library from
head to toe but could not find the photograph. She told me that she believed that
the photograph was in the library at one time, but that it might have been part of
a “personal collection” that had since been returned to the original owner
(whoever that was).I was disappointed, but I knew the photograph existed and
that someone had it. I thought there was still a chance that I could find it. As it
turns out, with remarkable luck, I did find it, in less than a month, and I ended
up finding much much more …!
