A Very Special Thanksgiving – Part Four
(… and last!)
You are related to us!
I thought my research was sound. I worked it up and down,
forwards and backwards, over and over many times. A
couple spots seemed to always hang me up, cast doubt
(grandmother-mother-daughter-sister name similarities in
succeeding generations, multiple marriages). Yet I always
ended up with Yes – the Stanley family connected – me
through my mother June Stanley.
When I first discovered the possible family connection to
Mayflower passengers John Alden and Priscilla Mullens, I
was excited to share the news but I wasn’t 100% sure. I had
to have it verified. And so, that first letter I wrote back then,
if you remember, included a holiday card with the message
“You could be related to us!”
Finally, this year … I can say (without doubt), it’s
TRUE!!! Find enclosed a new holiday card with the
message:
“You are related to us!”
And to make it official, I’m adding a “Mayflower Ship, Wax Seal” (of
approval).
