Letters, Postcards, Clippings

no idea as to what might have caused the crash. For my part I
would bet everything I have that it was a plane failure, because
I knew Backy too well, both in the air and on the ground, to
even think for a moment that we could have been caught napping.

I expect to be in the East during the next few months, and
would like very much to call on you and talk this thing over in
a way that is impossible in letter. I would also like to get to
know Backy’s family, and I assure you that if there is every
anything I can do to help out, the have but to ask.

I wonder if you would mind telling Ev’s mother and wife as
much as you want to about this letter, instead of my writing
them. I think that you are in a position to judge when and how
much to tell them better than I.

If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to
write me. I expect to be out on Friday, so you can write me at
               my home address.

                                                        Sincerely

                                                        Bill Boyd
