didn’t write sooner and I am ashamed, but it is hard for me to write, my hand
shakes and my vision is worse, so I don’t like writing, and I have been busy. Just
as I got everything unpacked and got settled, we moved and I had to do it all over
again. Nell’s daughter and her husband have moved to Seattle permanently and

some extra money they need. Nell cooks and keeps house for all of us. She used
to work at Woolworth’s but had to quit because she got too sick, she is better
now but it don’t look like she will ever be all well again. I like her daughter,
she is a nice friendly woman, and we all get along fine like one happy family. I
have good doctors here and my health is better than it was a year ago. I am
going to Cloverdale to visit your Mother on November 5 , and will stay till
th
after New Year, so I won’t be here for Christmas. My pension has been cut
because I am living with relatives, so I can’t buy Christmas presents but I’m
