                            PAUL T. POULSEN
                                                              In addition to his widow, sons Paul E.
                                                              of  Sacramento  and  Donald  of  Port
                     Paul  T.  Poulsen,  Port  Angeles,  85,
                     died  here  Monday.  At  his  request    Townsend survive.
                     there  will  be  no  service.  Cremation

                     was  in  Mt.  Angeles  Memorial  Park,

                     Mr. Poulsen was born Nov. 28, 1886
                     in Round Hill, Va., the son of Mr. and
                     Mrs.  Niels  Poulsen.  He  married
                     Athelene  A.  Fisher  Aug.  17,  1915  in
                     Port  Angeles.  She  resides  at  the
                     family home.

                     He came to Port Angeles in 1912 and
                     worked on early railroad construction
                     in  this  area.  He  held  various
                     engineering  positions  and  was  for
                     many    years   state   highway
                     maintenance  engineer  for  Clallam
                     and Jefferson Counties.

                     He  retired  from  the  highway
                     department in 1958. As a member of
                     the Masonic Order, Mr. Poulsen had
                     the  distinction  of  being  a  Knight  of
                     the York Cross of Honor by virtue of
                     having  been  a  past  master  of  Blue
                     Lodge,  F&AM,  past  high  priest  of
                     Royal  Arch  Masons,  past  illustrious
                     master  of  Royal  and  Select  Masters
                     and     past   commander     of
                     Commandery of Knights Templar. He
                     was also a member of the Elks lodge.
