                                                               Funeral  Home  in  Kiel  from  3  p.m.
                     Mrs.  Charlotte  Schmidt,  83,  of  916
                                                               Tuesday  until  11  a.m.  Wednesday
                     Fremont St., Kiel, widow of Michael,
                                                               and then after noon at the church.
                     died  Sunday  evening  at  Calumet
                     Memorial  Hospital  in  Chilton.    She

                     The  former  Charlotte  Seibert,  she

                     was born in Yugoslavia, Nov. 4, 1882,
                     a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs.       Source:

                     Mr.  Schmidt,  Jan.  4,  1904,  in
                     Yugoslavia.

                     The  couple  came  to  this  country
                     later, settling first in Cleveland, Ohio,
                     and then in New Holstein. They had
                     lived in Kiel since 1937.  Mr. Schmidt
                     died in May, 1949.

                     She  was  a  member  of  St.  Peter’s
                     United Church of Christ in Kiel and its
                     Frauen  Verein.  Surviving  are  four
                     daughters,  Mrs.  Christine  Wendling,
                     Mrs.  Henry  Fromm  (Katherine)  and
                     Mrs.  Richard  Mangan  (Elizabeth),  all
                     of  Kiel,  and  Mrs.  Milton  G.  Jung
                     (Helen),  rural  Elkhart  Lake;  a  son,
                     Michael,   Portland,   Ore.;   14
                     grandchildren   and   18   great-
                     grandchildren,  and  a  sister,  Mrs.
                     Katherine Burmann, Venice, Fla.

                     Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday
                     in  St.  Peter’s  UCC,  with  the  Rev.
                     Vernon  E.  Jaberg,  pastor,  officiating.
                     Burial will be in Kiel Cemetery.
