Fifth street succumbed Saturday
afternoon to a lengthy illness.
Funeral services will be held at the
Christman Mortuary tomorrow,
Tuesday afternoon at three o’clock.
Burial will be in Mount Angeles
cemetery.
The late Mr. Stanley was born at New
London, Waupaca county, Wisconsin,
April 5, 1864. His father was one of
the pioneer settlers of that state and
was a trader with the Indians in the
real early days.
Mr. Stanley moved to Montana while
a very young man and later went to
Idaho where he was married to
Fannie M. Clark, January 4, 1893
[1894 in her obituary]. Mrs. Stanley
died in this city last June.
Coming to the state of Washington in
1919, Mr. Stanley moved to Port
Angeles in 1922 and was employed at
the Charles Nelson mill until it closed.
Surviving relatives are four children,
all living here. They are Mrs. Pearl
Hendrickson, Henry, Elmer and
Chester Stanley and eight
grandchildren.
